May empties
Yes, I know it’s June but I had a lot going on recently. My shop opened, emergency dental work and family stuff. It’s been a little busy lately but I’m finally getting to what I finished in may!
The first thing is the ‘Not Your Mothers curl defining cream’. I actually really enjoyed this but if you’re wanting springy curls or defined curls this is not the product for you. I liked that it kept my hair from being super frizzy, it smells amazing and the texture is nice. It never left my hair crunchy either. It retails for $7 at most places. I give it 6/10
The Milk Hydro Grip Primer is amazing!!! It was refreshing on my super dry skin, my foundation was never patchy or moved around with this on and it wasn’t overly tacky. The biggest and in my opinion only drawback to this is that the smaller size retails for $30. It did last me a long time but I still can’t justify spending that much on one product like that. I give this a 8.5/10
I don’t really do a ton of stuff to my eyebrows butt I do like to give them a little outline but this had barely any product in it. I don’t have thick eyebrows or long ones and this did not take long to go through. I would not purchase this again just for that reason. There’s nothing wrong with the color or formula. I give this a 3/10The Just a Tint lip products from colourpop are pretty good in my opinion. They don’t dry out my lips and the scent of these did not irritate me or become overwhelming at all. I used up all of the peach one recently which I’m sad about because they don’t make them anymore. I give these a 6/10
This product I didn’t buy, it was a gift from a friend. Personally I probably wouldn’t pay that much for a concealer especially when there are so many good affordable ones on the market in this economy. That being said it was pretty good, it’s not my favorite but it wasn’t bad. 5/10
This is lantern fest from the 2021 Chinese new year colourpop collection and I love it! I’m so sad they don’t make this one anymore, the only thing I don’t like about the colourpop highlighters is the packaging. I don’t like this at all. The color is so good though and so is the formula. I give this a 10/10
I’m still hunting for a good eye cream. This did brighten up my under eyes but that’s all it did and I need something that’s going to help with moisture and wrinkles and this is not it. 4/10
Overall recently I’ve been having good luck with products but as always there are some duds. It’s also really hot where I live and so I’ll be slowing down on how many face products I use until October. If anyone has good suggestions for skincare for dry skin I’m open to it as long as it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg.
Much love,
M
