Let’s Catch Up

 

Hey friends,

It’s been awhile. I let this page and many things in life go this past summer. The seasonal depression hit really hard. Probably the hardest it has in a long time. Most people suffer from the seasonal sass in winter but for me it happens in the summer. I’m trying my best to get back into life and that means back into the writing world and back into the querying trenches. I am currently working on querying my first novel and writing my second novel. It is so much more work than I ever thought to really polish writing through editing and correct formatting. However, I love creating worlds and stories and I think that’s what makes writing worth the journey. 

My partner and I had our ten year anniversary and did a vow renewal this summer and that was so wonderful. We have both changed so much through our marriage it just felt like the right thing and the right moment to have the ceremony. I began auditing writing and literature courses to try and make my writing better as well as listening to lectures on YouTube from other authors. Of course I am reading as much and as often as I can. Three littles keep me busy especially now that school has started up again and we homeschool so that’s added to the workload. 

Now if you watch my YouTube and listen to my podcast don’t fear I am working on some videos and researching for the second season of the podcast. I stopped keeping up with all forms of social media, all forms of creating. I mean the seasonal sands just really took over if I didn’t have kids I would not get out of bed. So, this is a message to you who have been keeping up with me that I will be slowly getting back to the posting as soon as possible. I just started getting back to posting on instagram. I’m not sure when the next video will go up on YouTube especially since I am really focusing on my writing right now. I also am making big changes with the podcast, I am doing a ton of research for it so it’s going to be much deeper but still like a voice message from your best friend. 

I am going to start creating a newsletter so there will actually be one to go out when people sign up on the form on this website.
